Jamie Talbot is a leading jazz and studio player in London. He has played on countless film scores, television shows, albums, jingles and broadcasts and has worked with Ella Fitzgerald, Cleo Laine, John Dankworth, Nelson Riddle, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Gil Evans, Mel Tormé, Quincy Jones, Nancy Wilson and Joni Mitchell amongst many others.
Although primarily a saxophone player, he is also in constant demand as a clarinettist and can be heard as a jazz clarinet soloist in the films My Weekend with Marilyn and Valiant.
Jamie was also the jazz clarinet soloist at the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
As a schoolboy he played with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the London Schools Symphony Orchestra. He then went on to study clarinet with Colin Courtney at the Royal College of Music.
Jamie has played a Peter Eaton Elite clarinet since 2014. "I changed to a Peter Eaton Elite clarinet from a B&H 1010 in 2014 and am astounded at the improvement in tone, intonation and evenness. I'm also playing one of Peter's mouthpieces. I wish I'd made the change earlier!".
