By road from M25, Junction 10. From the roundabout take the exit marked A3 South to Guildford. After 300 metres and before joining the A3, take the left turn, sign-posted to Effingham. This is Old Lane, a wooded country lane. Follow this for just over 2 miles to a T-junction. Go right and immediately left and over the railway bridge. This is now Effingham Common Road, which you take for about a mile to a double mini roundabout. Go right at the first roundabout, in front of a white wooden building; this is Orestan Lane. Woodside is 300 metres on the left from the village end, a tall house after passing a raised field, a bungalow, and a huge oak tree. Please note that if you use satnav, you might enter Orestan Lane from the opposite end or be directed too far down the lane. If this happens, the simplest thing is to drive almost to the village end of Orestan Lane, turn around in The Plough pub car park and then follow the above directions.
By rail. To Effingham Junction from London Waterloo. There are two services per hour to Guildford via Surbiton and Cobham (40 minutes). There are also services via Epsom, which take a little longer.We pick up customers from the station which is just three minutes away.
